Gather with us beneath the darkening sky as we awaken our nightly senses & reconnect with Mother Nature in the light of the Moon & talk about T’iam (Moose)

Tea & treats provided after the walk to celebrate the “Mate Calling Moon”, a time that traditionally marked the rutting season for moose, with their behaviour including more frequent vocalized calls. This was also a time to signal to those traveling from coastal homes to inland homes that Winter was on the horizon.

Walking: easy beach surface

Duration of event: 1.5 hours

Please check back here for cancellations due to the weather by September 16th at 6pm!

Schedule:

7:30pm Arrival and gathering near entrance to the beach. Smudging & honouring of Grandmother Moon before heading out for the walk.

When we return near the entrance we’ll have tea, treats & story sharing!

approx. 9:00pm event concludes
