Join the Pemsik Mawa'tasikl Anko'tmu'kl 21-day BioBlitz! From July 7-27 on iNaturalist
Get out and explore the land and waters of the Pemsɨk Conservation Mosaic study area and help document the rich biodiversity within this Mi'kmaq-led conservation mosaic. Whether you're walking through the woods, out on the water, or exploring the coast where land meets sea, we invite you to safely observe, photograph, and record the nature around you - and upload your findings to the Pemsɨk BioBlitz iNaturalist page!
The study area - which takes the shape of Nukumi's dress - brings together terrestrial (green), marine (blue), and coastal (tan/sand) spaces to reflect Mi'kmaq understandings of how ecosystems are deeply connected. You can see a map of Nukumi's dress in the attached poster.
